Fabco NV-55 - Adaptors & Connections?

Assuming Fabco NV-55 (as pictured below) , I have five really simple questions (prefer stainless steel where possible):

1. Forgiving my newness, but what does this option under Fabco NV-55 mean "V - Viton for Media Compatibility (+1.05)?"
2. What kind (name) of adapter creates the connection from solenoid to needle valve (like in Picture A)? Where can I purchase said adapter online (link)?
3. What kind (name) of the adapter that forms connection between needle valve and CO2 Tube to work with an inline bubble counter? Where can I purchase said adapter online (link)?
4. If one wanted to link from needle valve to directly to bubble counter (like in Picture B) would the adapter be the same as in Question 2. If not, what kind (name) of adapter creates such a connection? Where can I purchase said adapter online (link)?
5. What solenoid do folks recommend? Where can I purchase said adapter online (link)?

I am not opposed to purchasing custom may system (say from GLA); however, I would prefer to purchase parts from retailer (e.g., Swagelok, etc.,) and learn to build and assemble set-ups myself. At present, I owe a Victor HPT270B-250 and have a stainless steel reducer bushing (1/4" to 1/8") which, I believe, should get me to the solenoid. Thank-you, in advance, for taking a moment,

SPECIAL NOTE: Please do not refer me to Rex Grigg. It is nothing personal and I do not know/dislike the man... I already went that route 3-weeks ago and, other than an auto-reply, I have heard nothing. I have heard medical problems, having a life, and so on. So, while I respect him and all the good reasons he might have, I assume he cannot take on business. As such is the case, I want to move on this project and want things up-and-running ASAP and, so, he is not an option - whatever the reason.

Hi Michael

I'm a noob at this myself but I was able to find some things I needed at www.clippard.com. You can order there but you have to sniff around to find the 5 paks rather than the 100pc quantities. I don't know if they have stainless.

There's a lot of activity on building CO2 kits over at www.barrreport.com. They have pictures, part numbers and links Swagelok, etc. I believe they have stainless part numbers as well.

I sent Michael a parts list yesterday. I did not see this thread until after I sent the email; my build does not have the Fabco attached to the solenoid, but it looks like it would be easy enough to do, just connect the needle valve to the solenoid port, and a hose barb to the needle valve. My 2 concerns with that configuration is that it limits you to just one output for one tank, and also the Fabco valve is a heavy little thing.

As we know, Fabco NV-55 has been a fairly popular and less expensive option to the Ideal. One weak point has been the connection points (10-32) leading most in the hobby to run the valve inline to avoid direct regulator or solenoid connections.

Good News! It is my understanding that a new option is on the way for the Fabco NV-55 in the coming weeks: NV-55 bored with 1/8" NPT threads. It is my understanding that the cost is higher though not in the range of Ideal.

PS: Kris, I will look for the parts list today and the information about the soon to be released Fabco NV-55 bored w/1/8" NPT threads should make the process pretty straight forward as the more standard fittings should work. Thanks ~T~
