Wilma Duncan was one of the original speakers for the AGA this past nov. but she ended up in the hospital due to health complications. She is considered by many as an authority on freshwater aquarium invertabrates. Her website is : http://www.jayscustomcomputers.com/wilma/
Put me down for a portion of her snail food also please. So I'd like:
50 Olive Nerites
3.85 oz. snail food
Thanks for doing this Sean.

I'm not sure. When I emailed her about breeding them that is what she said she is feeding them.
"I don't mind at all telling you how to breed the olive snails. As you know some claim they will only breed and live in brackish water but this not completely true. To breed and raise in freshwater. You need a tank with a nice group of at least 10 and live plants, especially java moss as they feed from the collected algae. No heavy filtration as the babies when hatched can be easily pulled into filter, no fish as they will eat the baby snails. One of the most important factors is a well balanced meal. I have just finished creating a snail food package and the this mixture is awesome for breeding and raising snails. I am now offering this to hobbyist in 3.85 ounce containers. I have named it Snailie- W- Cuisine.

So there you have, the brackish thing is a myth.
