quick-y co2 diffuser question

hey guys! got an annoying question:

does it matter if i use a small co2 diffuser for my moms 75? im going to refill my tank soon and was just wondering...i was looking at a little one on e-bay and i was tihnking on putting it under the koralia or something :D

Yes, a small diffuser will product large bubbles with the amount of CO2 you would have to put into it for the 75. You want a mist coming out of the diffuser.

ah ok, i see some really fancy ones online, can someone suggest a simple design to try out? if all the bigger ones are that expensive i might just hook the hose into the fluval canister filter which is what i did before without getting air-lock, but the occasional bubble-burst which honestly didnt really bother me... :D

For your best price, you may want to check ebay; look for the ones with the largest diameter ceramic discs. It may be possible to use a tee connector and split the CO2 using 2 medium size diffusers on opposite ends of the tank. I've never tried this, just saying, if the smaller ones are more economical.

Joe! I was thinking about doing that for the 125 but the plants are fine without it :mrgreen: I'm going to give my mom s a boost with co2 to show off 8).
