Food for April meeting

Post by chris_todd »

I will not be able to make the April meeting, so we're going to throw the food arrangements out to everyone. So who would like to volunteer to bring or make something?

Now that we've done this for a few months, I think we're getting used to this. Basically, we're looking for one substantial item, plus some snacky finger foods. Keep in mind we have a $40 budget. Also keep in mind that the hosts (Eugen and Roxanna) get veto powers over any foods they would prefer not to have served (like potentially messy foods).

We should already have all the paper goods and utensils we need in the "GWAPA food box" that Eugen took home from the last meeting, so all we need is food. And we're almost out of the sodas that were generously donated by Viktor, so we'll either need to get more, or go with water or something else.

Since the meeting is at our place, I was thinking we could take care of the food as well.
I was thinking : Potatoes Salad, Meatballs and a veggie tray.
Simple and according to the scheme.

Eugen and Arlene, those sound both tasty and well within budget! :D

Can someone make a dip or hummus or something to go with the veggie tray?

I don't think that I will have enough bananas ripened to make banana bread, but I will make some lemon/poppyseed scones instead.
