blue tigers the new cherries?

Post by Ghazanfar Ghori »

I bought a few blue tiger shrimp a couple opf months ago. Found them not only to be very hardy, but also prolific. I have 3 differnt sizes of juvies in there now!

Doug, do you cull the blond ones out?

I'm glad to hear you're having as much luck as I have with these awesome shrimp! I haven't been culling. I haven't yet noticed the blond population increasing proportionately. And I'm finding that while some turn blue when quite small, many of the light colored shrimp "blue up" a good bit as they age.

I am considering moving some of the lighter colored shrimp that show either red or yellow tones into their own tank to see if those colors can be improved.
Here's one that showed a cool reddish color:

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!

I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up! ;)

I've got a couple of those 'red tone' guys too. There's a bunch of pale blue ones as well. Some of the larger females get black/maroon. Cool shrimp!

Thanks - these ultra portable cameras definitely have their drawbacks, but they're cheap and the results aren't too bad. I suck at editing - still trying to find decent software for a decent price.

Yeah, I hate the editing stuff too. If you find that miracle software, let me know. Microsoft's MovieMaker is okay, but has much to be desired...

I find Pinnacle Studio 12 is good for editing video.
