It'll settle in, sometimes takes a while to become invert safe. Some tanks I put them in right away and did fine, had another that it took me a few months before shrimp lived.

Trim the plant an inch lower than the point the leaves are dropping off, replant the tops. Trim the stumps down to an inch or so tall. The stumps should bud and branch. You might want to keep this plant short.
