CO2 atomizer

Post by Jeff120 »

Anyone try one of these yet?

Ive heard mixed reviews, would be nice to not clean ceramic diffusers every few weeks. Im always paranoid with running things inline, just one or 2 more joins that can leak!

I'm thinking there must be a venturi nozzle in there to do the atomizing. I'm sure you can hook it up without any problems; there is always reduced of filter output to consider and maybe clogging.

It adopt Reserve Osmosis (RO) Technology that can diffuse CO2 in atomize Stage. The usage of CO2 will much less than even, it also come out with complete dissolved rate and produces excellent effect for the aquarium.
RO tells me there is a membrane in there. How long does that membrane last and does it get clogged? It is on the outflow from the filter so at least the water should be clean, right?

I would think it would eventually get clogged, soak in bleach should take care of that, how often I dont know, but surely longer then ceramic disks.
Here is another that seems to have better reviews online

The first one seems to be prone to CO2 leaks

Whatcha got against pumping it right into the intake of your filter? No CO2 reactor required, just a decent filter. No more cleaning than you would have to in your filter. No extra joins to leak, etc...

Airlock, these go on the output side of the filter.

Jeff;

The second one looks like it has two configurations; one as an in-line reactor using an airstone instead of bioballs, and the other as an oversized strainer with an airstone inside it.

I guess my question is, what do you want to achieve? I should think our DIY in-line reactor should achieve the same results.

Cheers.

I dont think you are going to get the flow slow down with these are you do with the inline reactors. I liked running reactors, just not losing the flow when I did.

That's what I'm mentioning... I removed all of my reactors from my Eheims, and never air gap, and get good flow and dissolved CO2.

Different means to an end I guess. I went with bigger filters. You can never have too much filtration.

Cheers.
