last and final update: ph is around 6.6-6.8 and is perfect! i couldn't be happier with today's results. the fluval is taking in all the co2 and little bubbles come out and every now and then you hear this "fissssssshh" noice and you see a bunch coming out all at once:P now the selenoid thing should kick on the timer and off until tomorrow early morning :D

Glad it's going well for you Damian! I'm surprised that the Fluval is working for you with CO2, but if it is, that's great! Keep in mind that with your new light and CO2, you may have to dose more than you have up to now, but play it by ear, and adjust as necessary. I'm glad it has worked out for you!

well, this is a bummer, i been checking the ph in my tank about once a week just in case to make sure everything is fine and i noticed two of the boesmani rainbows i just got last week were dead, so i checked the ph and shock! it was like 7.6+...i checked the unit and reads 0 pressure. that means the co2 tank went empty ...? whats a reputable place to reload it in the area? thanks!!

that is too bad. it happens. try bars by bud in merrifield-open sat and sunday. they fill while you wait. I was there once when a salt water reefer got a CO2 refill for his calcium reactor

Your tank emptied in just a couple of weeks? Something is seriously wrong, then, I would think you have a leak somewhere.

Sorry to hear you lost fish.

thanks Mark, i might try that.
Chris, i never filled the tank, i just got it as it was so i don't really know if it was full or not (and i don't have a clue on how heavy it would feel either) but i will take to fill and if same thing happens then i will know if something is seriously wrong
