I'll add my thanks as well. Your aquariums are all very nice. I used the vibe from the meeting to spend yesterday planting and filling my 65!

Only regret is not bidding on the val nana in the auction. But I've already seen more ancistrus peeking out from various nooks and crannies, so I'll have more available soon.

It was great to make a meeting again! I've been going into withdrawl  It finally gave me the kick in the pants I needed to set up the 2.5 nano for competition (yes I'm lame, but the Elatine I wanted to use wouldn't stay alive for me so I gave in and got replacements  ). Too bad the shrimp that came in the Lobelia won't last long since the tank is fresh set up :( Bleh.

Thanks again to the hosts, and Cavan for the talk. I love how much I learn at these things! And I love how my java fern collection is one more step towards completion  Maybe next month I'll decide what to put in the nano!
Best, Corey

Wanted to post a couple pics of the Ludwigia that Cavan had passed around during his presentation, which I got in the auction for cheap! It's submersed growth is beautiful.
Can someone remind me of the species / cross Cavan said this was?

As I recall, it was L. arcuata x repens - but, of course, Cavan or Kris would know for sure. I definitely dig that rusty color ... there were definitely some good scores to be had at that auction, eh?

Looks like Ludwigia brevipes to me. I have been bringing that to auctions for years and it usually sells for like 1.00! We always tell you how cool the plants are, maybe now you folks will start believing us!

It isn't like brevipes, it goes vertical. I have it too.

Iirc, it is palustris x brevipes.

Arcuata x repens is much larger in leaf si2, and red, where this one is orange. They do have similar growth patterns though.

It's Ludwigia x lacustris, aka Ludwigia brevipes x palustris. :D

It's definitely different from normal brevipes, as Dave mentioned.
