Yup, those are the ones.chris_todd wrote:Never mind, I should have googled first... These are Paracheirodon simulans, correct?chris_todd wrote:Oooh, that sounds interesting! What species are green neons? May I assume this is some color variant of neon tetras I haven't heard about before? Or some other species of fish?Aaron wrote:I'm going to try to catch about 18 green neons to bring.

I'm no expert on veganism, so I'll check the ingredients with Amy, but I'm pretty sure the chili qualifies. If not, we have more than enough duckweed that we could make soup! Is Guppy Grass edible? We could feed a family of four for a week on what we have!Cavan wrote: Vegan here, but I usually make do with vegetables. I'll probably go with the vegetarian chili.
Can anyone heading south give the speaker a ride? Kris can in a pinch, but it would be best if he didn't have to. I'm in Silver Spring. Thanks!
And if you're in Silver Spring, you need to catch a ride with someone heading North. If you're anywhere near Route 29, then your ride can just take that North to Route 40, and head East on that to Rolling Road.

In my experience, Discus are way too slow and lazy to go for anything that can swim like a tetra. Plus, they usually don't try to eat anything bigger than a baby pea. Maybe they aren't so wimpy in the wild, but in captivity they don't bother with much of anything. Angels are quite different - they like to hunt.ingg wrote:Those neons would be snacks for your discus my friend, what do you think they and Angels eat in the wild?
I don't believe you! (Wild Discus diet does include small fish) If it'll fit in a cichlid carnivore's mouth, it is probably going to go in the cichlid's mouth sooner or later. It'd be a shame to put those green neons to the test - try some Endlers or small guppies, eh?Cristy Keister wrote:In my experience, Discus are way too slow and lazy to go for anything that can swim like a tetra. Besides, Green Neons shouldn't be kept in mid 80-s water, they aren't cardinals!
Bah, dunno why I'm talking y'all out of it... bid em up! Just don't tell me when they get eaten.
