I am happy to report that we must really have inspired planted tanks in CCA as I posted this tank there and its receiving many "wonderful" critiques....and with this Donkeyfish, I am truly back.....Truly

I'm dying to figure out who "anubias" in CCA is. ;)

The "backwards" comment really kinds cracked me up.

I think you've always had a great knack for hardscaping, and part of the critique you may be seeing on the CCA board is simply because the densely planted tank is a little hard to visualize if you aren't really into them.

I think it is gonna be a really nice scape FWIW... like my little .02 matters, but there it is!

I am not worried about A Nu Bias.....did you see the low maintenance tank that he posted in the Low Maintenance Plants thread.....how about the center upright all by itself? I dread to think what his picky high standards would want to see in my tank. Maybe I could put a rock garden around the top edge of the tank for him. I didnt understand where Lively was coming from on the backwards thing until I thought about what Jen said and I think I cleared it up for her when I explained about the characteristics of the wood in the hardscape. I have as yet not seen any of these tanks she keeps referring to. I take little credit for the hardscaping in the tank BTW. It was mostly Kris and Cavan working their mojo which I greatly appreciate. Once it grows in and I get some photos up hopefully that will quiet them down a bit.

Oh and I thought that the CCA folks of any of them would appreciate the massive hardscape in the tank....seeing as thats all many of them do in their tanks. At least for the most part it was positive and I know I am happy with the tank regardless.

i personally think that sometimes doing things the opposite way is what makes the difference, so far i think yours is a great scape and should fill up nicely 8)
