Black Brush Algae Issue

i have a ton of that, looks nice in a few pieces of rock but now is taking over just about everything, besides the siamese algea eaters, anything else that can eat it? thanks

I seem to remember years ago when I had a few American Flag Fish that they would tear into that. I also at times used spot treatment with hydrogen peroxide, which was quite effective but something you can only do a little at a time.

Amano shrimp will help keep it under control as well, but in my experience won't completely get rid of it. Crank up your CO2.

there is no CO2 , je, basic basic baasic set up only, i'll look into the amano shrimp though, thanks

you can squirt some Excel directly on it, and that will help some... but my american flag fish decimated the stuff for me!

I never had any luck at all with American Flag fish; once I had it in a tank they only thing that worked was SAEs. Once it's gone, and your tank is balanced again, you can get rid of the SAE, too.
