I am SO recruiting you to do my first actual "scape" effort. as opposed to my usual, just stick the plant in somewhere and walk away method!

tank is looking nice, dude.

Okay, just one more nitpick and then I'll leave you alone. The two mounds of rocks, while dissimilar in height, have the same size base and are placed almost exactly symmetrically in the tank.

The driftwood is much improved in the 3rd iteration. I still think it's too many rocks. There's hardly any room in the back to establish a deep stand of stems.

You know you're my friend right Dave? 8)

No stems! :) You will not tempt me! Not... no way.... ugh. I'll prolly end up with some.

I'll tinker with the rock ring - I was thinking the same thing last night looking at it, looks like two identical mounds, one with sticks, one without.

That would look great in a tank 6 inches longer and 4 inches wider. Meaning, I think your hardscape has too big of a footprint. You have the proportions, and balance, but not enough room.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!

I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up! ;)

Planted.

Hairgrass Eleocharis sp., Rotala sp. "mini" type II, HC, Cryptocorene Moehlmannii and Pontediferolia, Anubias nana, nana petite, Narrow leaf Java Fern, Bolbitis.

Need to find a bunch of anubias petite for the rock pile, and tweak a couple things here and there.

Love the tall haigrass, native species. Thanks Aaron!

Still hate bolbitis. Such a cool plant that I am never happy with when I scape with it - much more a reflction of my abilities than the plant, I think.

Looks like a great start to me! If you have more of these plants on hand, I'd pack them in even more densely, but the planting/arrangement itself looks good to me!

I think it looks great too and it will look even better when things grow in.

I like it! Keep posting pictures as it grows in. I really enjoy seeing people's aquascapes at all stages. I'm still learning how to predict what a scape will look like once it is grown in.

That tall hairgrass is absolutely gorgeous. It's going to be beautiful in the background.
