Jay,

How big is this container? I've been looking for something similar, but I can't find anything that is that big. However, maybe I am over estimating the size because it is hard to tell from the pic. Can you give an idea of height and diameter of the top?

Ben,

Sorry, I missed your question.

Container is not that big. It is about ~20"+ in diameter and about the same in hight. I actually purchased 35" container few weeks ago. Although it set me back $120, water gardening as you probably know is about surface area, not depth.

Enjoy it !

Jay, I'd love to see a picture of that 35 inch container. I've got a big fiberglass, terra-cotta look-alike that was a pretty penny too. It's a great grow out tank for my goldfish, but started life as my first little pond.

Yeah, I've been surprised at how expensive a plain pot is. I did find this one this weekend for $20 at Lowes. It is 21" across on a quick measure. I saw large ones like you probably bought, but since this is my first try, I opted to start small. The pot in your pictures look much larger than 20".

This one is made of that resin stuff so it's very light.

Maybe we should have a water pot garden-scape competition. :-)

Being that most of our houses already have enough lumens to garner federal attention, I'm hesitant to promote any "pot competition," Ben!

LOL! That's a nice setup! Really, there's no excuse why you shouldn't be farming Nana Petite with that setup. :-)

The excuse is that they orchids have displaced my aquariums :-)

Anyway, how do I do that? The orchids are going outside when it warms up. I'm going to use the lights to get some orchid seedlings from flask going. There will be plenty of room for some nana petite. I even have the nana petite to get it started.

Here is a newer pic of my "greenhouse" with a few blooming.

Here are some pics I've taken over the last few months.
