Algae Help Please

If I can get rid of this, I might can see if I have Cladaphora or not underneath it. I'm not sure, but this is what's driving me nuts these days. Doesn't seem like this was hard to get rid of in the past, but I'm out of practice. What do I do?

I dont think Ive ever seen clado on plants before, kinda looks like to though. Does it smell earthy? Daily dose of excel would be my first suggestion, maybe even a little OD

No, this isn't Clado. It's down on the bottom. It's a separate issue I need to deal with one I can get this under control.

I'm already dosing Excel and it keeps coming back. I need to figure out what I'm dosing too much of to keep this away.

I get that algae in new setups. Did you have a major disturbance in the good bacteria lately?

I also get that algae in my soil substrate tanks when I dose excess potassium.

I have a good cure for that . I had a really bad infection on one of 55 gallons . Hair , bearded ... I could not id exactly but I got a mix of them (at least 3 different hairy types of algae), really bad and was taking over all my tank.

Then I moved 5-6 long fin rosy barbs into the tank. After 3 days - you could not notice easily the algae anymore and they kept eating it. After one week it looks clean and healthy.

I decided to keep 2-3 always in the tank, to keep thinks under control.

This might be my problem. I didn't have a big disturbance "lately," but when I moved, this tank was all messed up. I took most of the substrate out and then dumped it back in. It sat in dim light and algae infestation for months. Now I'm trying to get it back going and haven't done a good vacuum of the gravel. I'm sure it has tons of poop sitting on top.

Hydrogen peroxide will weaken the algae so that shrimp will eat it.
