I have clado for the first time! Yea!! [sarcastic grin]

It appears to be moss and growing on driftwood. Do I have to attack it? what happens if I let it grow on the driftwood? Or should I get rid of all of it?

Just like any algae, in small quantities, it's okay, but you run the risk of it spreading around. So, proceed as you please.

Remove as much as you can now. Then spot treat it with H2O2 and / or excel.

You could just give in and be a cultivator of fine algaes. I must say that I have quite the experience here myself and will tell you that the bid price at auction is pretty low.
