Thanks Aaron. Kris mentioned the same thing to me at the CCA meeting. I used it on the first tank because I already had 2 bags laying around. I will have to see what the Dark and Black look like in a tank, but may give it a try.

Well, I have the 6 Pelvicachromis in the tank with a piece of driftwood (anxiously waiting for plants) and today I noticed 4 of them lined up along one side of the tank. The other 2 have set up house in the driftwood and it looks like they want to "play games" (if you were at the last CCA meeting you will understand that

). If i only had some plants (and knew how to plant them)!

If you're lucky, the 2 "game players" will get all of their rummaging around done with before you plant so you don't have to play the "replanting game" with them every other day.

I dont recall seeing onyx on the bag, that is another product that seachem makes, and its gray

I have a bag of Seachem Onyx sand sitting on the floor of my condo right now.

Oynx sand IS NOT the same as Flourite Black. Both are fine products, but Oynx sand buffers water, raising the kH/pH slightly. What we're recommending is Flourite Black, the same stuff that we used in the Aquafest demo (and that's you got a bag of Dave)

Stricta is obviously easy to grow, mine is already out of the tank! My first GOOD plant story!
