co2 for my tank
My first co2 attempt was a failure I set everything up exactly like the instructions said. I think the equipment is set up right but I messed up with the sugar, water, and yeast part because it’s barely producing any bubbles. What temp should the water be and will it work in colder room? I found some yeast and baking soda in my fridge so I’m going to try it again just want to get it right this time.
I found when I did DIY that the activation of the yeast was the key.
Activate the yeast in a bowl of tepid (~104°) water with a pinch of sugar. Mix it up gently, then cover it and let it sit for 5-10 min or so. When you uncover it, it should be bubbling like crazy. If it is, your yeast is good, and it's activated, and ready to add to your water/sugar mixture.
