Experience with Apisto Nijssenni?

Post by ingg »

Found some pairs at a really reasonable price, anyone bred them, kept them? They look really pretty, almost like panduro...

Dave,
They will eat flakes, pellets, live worms, daphnia etc. Keep your water at a ph of 5-7 that should encourage them to breed. They will also need flower pots, rocks, hollow driftwood or anything that simulates a cave so they can lay their eggs. Now is a good time to collect some Oak tree leaves(use only completely brown and dried leaves) and let them sink and litter the bottom of your tank

Reading about a lot of aggression... think I'll skip it.

If anyone is interested, though, they had pairs in Rick's, and I'm pretty sure it was only $7 or so a fish.

Dave,
They are not very aggressive. You should get a pair and try them. Just do the same stuff you're doing for your A. eunotus
