What's better hemostats or tweezers? I have a pair of hemostats and have a difficult time trying to plant stems with it.
I know it's probably just personal preference, but does anyone actually need really long ones? I am not averse to getting my hands wet. And I can easily reach the bottom of my tanks.
Sound like a silly question until your getting ready to order some tools. Thanks, Joe
Tweezers are the best. Tweezers made specifically for our purposes are even better as they tend to have the finest tips to them. Check out www.aqmagic.com for some decent cheap tweezers and scissors. They're based in Malaysia so it does take a couple weeks to get things from there.
The longer ones also help by keeping hands away from
stems you've recently planted and inadvertantly knocking them loose. When
you're doing a dense planting - it helps quite a bit.
