I got some spiky moss, but i really don't know what to do with it.
It's not like I can tie it to wood like this,

Flame moss.
I see it tied to sheets of plastic or metal grids a lot, poking up through the grids.

It's also called flame moss as Dave mentioned and it should attach to wood and rocks.
