It is stricta. Sold most of it off a while ago, growing the stand back in now. I'll let you know when it is trimmable again if you want.

If you'd like to try 'pink' again... man, you shoulda hit the auction, I just sold tons of it for dirt cheap, 20" stems and super clean... but I have one more stand of it that needs trimming/thinng badly, let me know via pm if you'll be at this weekend's meeting. (Fair warning, some pinholes in some older leaves on this bunch, bit of a potassium deficit going on in the tank before I noticed it.)

I use the same water source. It was a smaller tank with different substrate and different plants. Could that be the difference?

Different substrates can definitely have an effect on how a plant goes. Which substrates were you using?

I was using Seachem Florite and regular gravel in my 55. My current tank has about 2/3 Eco Complete with 1/3 Florite.

That could be the difference. Sometimes Eco Complete will buffer the water with hardness. The Rotalas like it softer.

Cool, thanks. I should try to get that under control before I try them again. Can I cancel out the ECO with a PH buffer?

Usually the Eco Complete stops buffering over time. How old is the Eco Complete?
