Yeah may do that.

Trying to figure out what happened yesterday to my 55. Did a water change like normal, moved driftwood and such around and every catfish(6 year old Syno Ocifeller, 2 unknown sp. Syno, 1 almost 10 year old Striped Rapheal) in the tank is either dead or dieing, the rainbows are all fine though. Tested with every test kit I have and nothing is out of the ordinary. Did a 40% change to try to remove whatever issue there was and did another full test this morning, no idea what is going on.

Amquel + takes that issue out. Came home to the Raph and one syno bricked and the other 2 synos are 50/50. Also lost a Salmon Red rainbow. Whatever it is, it has killed all of the weakest fish off.

Smallest fish and the youngest (juvenile Albino Bushynose Plec) are fine.

Could have been some anaerobic areas under the driftwood you moved, releasing hydrogen sulfide, which is toxic.

I thought of that, I wonder if it was that as I redid the entire tank about a month ago. I left the canister alone to save some of the bacteria but almost all of the substrate and interior was changed/remodeled.

Oh well, Ill save what I can and make do I guess.
