Howdy folks...
Just wondering, has anyone had any luck shipping plants through the mail lately? If so, who did you get them from and what shipping method/carrier did you use? I'm seriously in need of some new plants, two tanks to setup, I want to get some interesting crypts for this one...
Jeff
Shipping in cold weather
I haven't ordered any lately, but I ordered a bunch last winter. I didn't have any problems with USPS 2-3 day. I've shopped at <a href="http://www.aquariumplants.com" target="_blank">http://www.aquariumplants.com</a> a couple times, with good success.
Also, if you order from a dealer in the south, the plants will spend more time shipping in the warmer temps.<edited><editID>krisw</editID><editDate>38029.2954282407</editDate></edited>
Hello Jeff,
Are you out there? What kind of crypts are you looking for?
Yes I'm here, just a little too busy at work... <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> I'm looking for any
kind of crypt really that would do good in the following setup:
29 gallon, 2xNO 24" T-12's or T-8's, DIY CO2 with a yeast bottle.
Its going to be sitting in an office, I want it to be crypt only, as far as
fish its going to prolly be a school of small rasbora. Trying to keep
with an SE asia-Indian-Sri Lanka theme, but not quite a biotope.
The tank will get a weekly water change and a shot of iron/trace, but
nothing else, so very sensitive plants need not apply. Susbtrate will
be a package of laterite mixed with a cup or two of earthworm
castings and a little peat capped with 3" of silica blasting grit.
The theme is simple and low budget so I would liek to avoid
sensitive plants. Its not going to be heavily aquascaped so things
that are really really aggressive need not apply.
Other than that, I'm looking for short ones, medium height ones and
tall crypts

I gots those. Whatcha doin' Monday? Wanna swing 'round the farm and git'cha an assortment?
Sorry, I was in SC recently and my speech has to regress a bit when I talk down there.
I have several varieties that meet those tough standards. If you are able to stop by my house on Monday I could be persuaded to part with a few choice specimens.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.
If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!
I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up!
