Apistogramma viejita vs. Pseudocrenilabrus nicholsi (vote!)
Jim,
Keep an eye on Mark Denaro's list. Search "anubias design" in Yahoo and you'll find his yahoo web group. Once you sign up for it you can view his stocklist. Often times he has furcatas and gertrudae rainbows for ~ $3.00 a piece and he'll ship priority and garauntee it because we live so close. He's in PA somewhere.

I wanted to go badly. It always falls on a bad weekend for me for some reason. Those viejita 'Rio-Meta' you got are pretty sweet. I wish you could remember the name of the breeder.krisw wrote:I'm telling ya. After the catfish convention, I'm convinced that if you want rare/interesting fish for amazing prices, we've got to go to the Catfish Convention or the ACA convention where they sell fish out of their hotel/vendor rooms.

Yeah Kris Come on Its got to be in there somewhere. If we could only download Kris' brain and then do a data search we might come up with it. I just sent a note to a guy that posts on Apisto's forum that his profile says he is in Baltimore. He seems to always be posting about new dwarfs that he is trying. Asked him to contact me about coming to see his set up.

I went to Anubias Design for his open house after the last DVAGA meeting. While he had some amazing wild discus that I coveted, and fish I'll never see anywhere else, the sanitation and overall appearance of his "fish room" left a bit to be desired. Having seen the operation, I really wish I'd never gone and could safely remain in ignorant bliss.
Rob; unfortunately the Jersey breeder doesn't allow pick up. Jersey as a whole has got some funny laws that tend to discourage people from working out of their garage or basement.
Cheers.

OK... I just asked Andrew at SCALES, since he organized the convention. He says the guy's name is Tony Orso, but that he doesn't sell directly to customers. Apparently, Andrew is an affiliated vendor so he can order for us. I googled the name I come up with "http://www.webraretropicalfish.com/," which offers a stock and price list. I don't know what the prices would be through Andrew.Yeah Kris Come on Its got to be in there somewhere
Anyways, this is the couple I got my apisto viejita 'Rio Meta' from at the Catfish Convention.
