I see guys selling Osmocote PLUS root tabs, are they good for high tech planted tank which has plants like
1. Alternanthera reineckii
2. Baby Tears
3. Staurogyne repens
3. Red Ludwigia
What root tables do you guys use and where do you buy them from?

I use Jobe's, miracle grow spikes and osmocote sraight in the substrate. Have never found any of them to do any harm. Just don't over load them.

Jobs spikes under root feeders, I don't worry as much about getting ferts in the substrate under stem plants.

Wow - you mean you just push them into the substrate a little bit and let them dissolve over time? I've pulled out crypts months after adding plant spikes and found them with roots all grown through them.

Not in my experience, Becca. I'm sure like anything, you could overdo it, but I haven't found that point yet.
