Question: mineralized soil related

Post by ddavila06 »

yes, me thinking again...but how do you think the mineralized soil would differ from the original idea if the mixture was oven backed

i was just thinking that it might do the same as a hot summer day would hence helping achiving the drying process faster now that is cooler outside...what do you think? 8)

Doesn't work, search it on the forum, been asked my yours truly trying to figure out how it worked. ;)

The long drying period is what is doing the work. Baking it doesn't allow for a long drying process.

Okay, related item - how about heating cables in sand trays? These are used spring-only for seed and transpnts from such for outdoors, and is in a cool area. The temperature is lowish (I don't remember the exactreading, haven't been used in a couple of years), just warmer that the ambient. Basically the old "cool heads warm feet" bit for garden plant starts.

Baking it does not allow the bacteria to do their job, in fact it tends to dissuade bacteria from doing much. The heating cables sounds intriguing. If you are in a hurry just by EcoComplete and stop driving yourself nuts.

I am rarely in a hurry, but often impatient. Just trying to figure out a way to accomplish in the fall/winter part of what did not get done in the summer.
