NOT THE BLACK LUNG!! LOL! I have a theory about all that dusting and stuff. I think some of it has to do with how much the material (and bags) are handled and tossed around. With this stuff being discontinued and all my guess it that its been around awhile. Which probably means its been moved a few times and 'rustled up'. Kinda like how the more you muss with activated carbon the dustier it gets as the particles grind each other up.Cristy Keister wrote:Hmm... waaay different from my experience. I was too lazy to rinse a whole 50 lb bag for my 75g, so I just poured it in dry. There was so much dust that I had to get a mask or risk black lung. The fallout in the room was about an inch thick! (ok, slight exaggeration, but you get my point)
That's *my* theory at least. Not that there's any way you could do anything about it in practice... "Excuse me, sir. I would like a bag of Soilmaster that hasn't been manhandled, please. Preferably one that has been gently placed in its bag granule at a time by tibetian monks and transported atop pillows and carried on the backs of fluffy kittens to this location. Thank you."
