Don't know if you saw this Julie. http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/foru ... post665884
Seachem said it definitely should be okay to mix Synthesis and Activate so you'd only need 3 pumps to dose the Aquavitro line.
One other tricky thing about Aquavitro is it's only in stores. Kris orders it through www.tropicallagoon.com and picks it up there and they give really nice prices. House of Tropicals in Glen Burnie also carries the full line in stock, but their prices aren't as good.
Fertz - what and where to buy?

Thanks for the link. I did poke around APC and had read some of their threads.Aaron wrote:Don't know if you saw this Julie. http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/foru ... post665884

I realized I was almost out of the micros yesterday. I did find a place that is selling them online so I ordered that way. I know, I'm bad. But in this day and age it is crazy to not be able to buy stuff online. I am crazy busy with a FT job and 2 kids. Going forward, I will see if Rick's in Frederick will order for me. Normally he is good about taking special requests. He carries many other Seachem products, and I know he likes freshwater plants.

Make sure to ask if they can order bigger bottles too. It reportedly is available in 1, 2 and 4 liter sizes if you decide you like it.jweis wrote:Thanks for the link. Re: Fertz - what and where to buy?
I can not speak of the advantages of commercial fertilizers. I do find an advantage in using the bottles commercial products come in. Brand new, it doesn't have funk growing in it. Which, to be honest, can happen. My small dosing bottles can develop some if I'm not careful. So, I'ld be happy to recycle any empty 250ml bottles you send my way Julie.
I got to work with Carlo/Wet on the calculator. It wasn't much and he is just a virtual friend - we have never met. I think it can be a useful tool in this case. The level's you dosed successfully, could be used as the target for the calc. to find the level to dose using the new Seachem product to reach your targeted goal.

If you add 6 tbls of K2SO4 to a liter of water you might have solubility issues. The solubility of K2SO4 is about 11g/100ml. There would also be some sediment at the bottom of the bottle, about five fingernails worth is certainly a noticeable amount. Even if it looks bad, it shouldn't reduce the level of K+ provided. I would be willing to bet that seachem runs their product through a filter before it heads out to the shelves. It's the K2SO4 I'm not impressed with. You'd have to mix in about 6 Tbsp in a 1 liter solution to roughly equal Flourish Potassium. I tried it once and the stuff in the bottom wasn't pretty.
