I have 3M fine sand as substrate and it is time for me to add some root tabs again. When I first stated the tank I didn't know much about plants so that's why I went that route and now I am too lazy to replace the substrate.
My question is what would be the best root tabs to buy, I have a whole bunch of RCS in the tank so I don't want to risk buying anything filled with copper.
The last ones I bought didn't perform all that well.
I've heard that you could make your own with dry ferts and mineralized soil additives and some pottery clay... but all I have is the dry ferts and I can't seem to find the clay :S
Anyone with hints?
