In a tank with Vals and shrimp, what is the best way to treat for algae?
I am thinking about upping my CO2 a little. I think I may have it set a little low.
I'm still running my lights, 3.12WPG T5 HO, 9 hrs a day.
I added a power head for additional circulation, but it's noisy and annoying.
Have a lot of plant mass, and dosing PPS PRO standard solution daily for about 2 weeks now, and clado seems to be getting worse not better.
Guess I will have to find out what causes clado and make an adjustment. Also have to a much lesser degree some BGA, green dust, and BBA. OMG
Treating for Algae
Clado is difficult. What makes clado grow is having a good environment.
I recently started PPS Pro on 3/15 or so. It's taken until now for my algae to clear up (with a little help from excel) and things to really take off. I wouldn't jump the gun just yet, 2 weeks you might be right at the break point for your plants - at least in what I've experienced in the past 2-3 weeks.
