Eugen,
I have seen reports of folks using diluted Prime to handle chloramine during automated water changes. For example:
http://www.capitalcichlids.org/forums/s ... hlight=diy

Where Li from Monster Aquaria Network uses a Dosmatic MiniDos to automatically add prime to the water flow during a water change. I think this might be simpler and perhaps even cheaper than using a syringe pump.

When I build my fishroom, I plan to do something similar.

Rico, any idea what the tubing costs? I have read they are very specifi and have to use the exact tubing for the exact machine. I figured they needed to be replaced regularly with hospital use, but hopefully they last longer for us.

Kris, any container with the feed line going into it, other end for the line going to the tank.

Let me look at the pump, and see what it costs. Chances are the seller might sell it and that might be cheaper.

Found the tubing!

Looks like it would cost about 8.00 per set. So each person, if you are running all 4 pumps would be 32.00 for a set of tubing.

I am fine with that. I'll leave you in charge of getting everything we need.

Jeff, this looks too interesting to pass up. If you can get them for less than $120 apiece for the four-pump model, put me down for one.

Jeff, I'm familiar with those. I always used them with bags (drip). Let me call first thing in the morning. Those machines are incredible. They wil dray exact amounts, at exact times, and have built in battery backups. The question then would be to ensure the ferts are not so thick they clog the tubing. Maybe Chris (in Alexandria) could chme in, he knows about these also.
