The floating plants will keep the green water away. The surface must be entirely covered though.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm figuring on filling up the surface quite a bit. I guess I'm just going to have to see how it goes. Any idea on when it's safe to put the endlers out? Can they survive a 45 degree night time temp?

What's the water temp? When I was putting guppies in my pond, they would start to die off at 50-55'F in the fall. I guess if you were really, really anxious to get going you could drop a heater in there for a couple of weeks.
