Hey Folks! One of the benefits of being furloughed is that I finally sat down and put all the pieces together for my recently acquired CO2 setup on a 45 gallon tank.
So, I have a used Victor dual stage regulator, Burkert solenoid, Ideal needle valve. Yeah....I know, there are some cheaper needle valves out there....and for my next setup, I may try one, but I just didn't want to have issues my first time through this.
I also got an Ista Max Mix reactor.....so far, I'm not thrilled with it so I'll likely be replacing that item soon. I have a ceramic diffuser that I might try, but I'm not hearing rave reviews about those, either.
I was also given a 5 lb cylinder (thank you, Andrew S.!) that I got filled over at the Laurel gas place (very nice people!)
So.....my first question is this: what should my delivery pressure read?
My first "real" CO2 setup
Re: My first "real" CO2 setup
Congrats on getting everything setup!
There's not necessarily a "right" answer for the delivery pressure, but start between 5-10psi. If that's not supplying enough bubbles per second once dialed down with your needle valve, you can increase it.

Awesome, thanks! I figured it was an 'ish' kind of a thing. That's about where I have it.
