hey, i have this light that i got so long ago when i purchased a used fixture and is a blue light. any pros and cons that you know off if used in the planted tank? i heard that it helps red algea grow, but nothing negative about it so far 8)

Blue light, as in an actinic used for saltwater?

If so, it's not in the right spectrum to have any real benefit to plants. Some like to put them over their FW tanks, however, as they can help to make the colors in fish really pop out.
