After talking with C2C aquariums (700 for tank, 900 for steel stand or 1400 for maple stand), I think the decision is between ADA or Oceanic. I do like the ADA because it is much more appealing, but this is seeking long term life, which is Oceanic's strong point. The bottom base is wood, not plastic and if placed on the proper stand it looks pretty decent. I saw an oceanic 24x24x24 cube on the oceanic base, and it looked pretty good.

Well this answers the warranty question
Hi Daniel,
The Oceanic 57 Illuminata Aquarium has a limited 5 year warranty with proof of purchase against leaks or cracks due to defects in the materials or workmanship.
Thank you

I purchased my rimless Illuminata through Super Pets in Annandale for $280 - They had to special order it - The factory had one left. Oceanic was getting rid of the rest of these tanks. I really like mine - I'm in the process of getting parts.

I did see the Mr. Aqua - the couple who owned it are moving - they were going to get rid of it for $199 with a stand - it's 36x18x18

I picked it up a couple of months ago so you may be able to get the last one.

FYI, ADA tanks also carry a 5 year warranty so the warranty issue becomes a wash. I've had my ADA tank 4 years now and it's still going strong.

I know that there is an Illuminata at Centreville Aquarium still.
