I'll get some H2O2 when I'm out for dinner tonight.

Dang, I'm glad I found this group!

Thanks

I had surface film in my 75G that I set up on 1/30. Thankfully it has subsided and the water looks a lot better. I was hating it. I wish I had known about H2O2 breaking down biofilms then. I'm guessing the MTS caused it.

Jim Miller wrote:Any ideas for an unobtrusive skimmer? Right now I get an occasional biofilm on the surface and I just stick an airstone in for a couple of hours to break it up. I'd really like not to get the film in the first place and when I eventually get some more flow in the tank the surface may ripple enough to prevent it.

But for now if there are some better ideas I'd love to hear them.

FYI, my tank is bottom drilled so I have nothing over the edge, except for this occasional airline.

Thanks

Jim;

I've used an Eheim surface extractor for years. They work very well and I highly recommend them.
