can anyone reccommend a good NO t-12 for growing plants? I was using GE chroma 50, but now it seems no one is carrying these anymore.

Routine store tubes or specialty? If you are willing to spend the $$$, Tritons are still my favorites, but they are one of the more expensive options. The Chroma 50 was good for utility growth, but I personally hated the color, mixed with the SPX 65 it was acceptable to me. The Phillips "Natural Color" (also a 5000K tube) should be similar to the old Chroma 50, and I am trying it mixed 50:50 with the Phillips "Daylight Deluxe" - I don't like the look of the Natural Color any better than I did the Chroma 50 - both are way too yellow for me.

Any bulb that said "Daylight" on it at Home Depot used to be my favorite, GE or Philips.
