Suggestions/ advice for LED lighting for 29 gallon tank
Hello Members,
I am in the process of re-starting my aquariums after a break of ~ 4 years (I had a few nice planted tanks which I had to shut down after we moved into our new home). Those days I had bought nice LED lighting for my 40 g breeder from BuildMyLED but I discovered they do not make the aquarium lighting anymore. I am also told by a local aquarium shop that the LED lights have gotten much cheaper however the lights he had were the usual Aqueon LED lights and I am not sure how good these are (looks more like amateur-ish range).
I am looking for suggestions for good LED lights for a planted aquarium. If it helps, the dimensions of my tank are 30 X 12 X 18 inches.
Regards,
Nandan

Nandan, do you have a particular budget you're working with? As you can imagine, the answers can vary wildly based on how much your looking to spend.

Hey Kris thanks for the response. I think I am ok to spend something between 50 - 100 USD which I am hoping will get me a reasonably good lighting solution. However any suggestions towards the right budget are also welcome. I have been off this topic for a while....

Hi Nandan, for that budget, you're probably looking at something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Finnex-Planted-A ... B00U0HMWLI
Alternatives for a bit more:
https://aquaforestaquarium.com/collecti ... 7785867713
Potentially the twinstar on the same site.

I personally have liked the Ecotech Marine FW Radion GEN4 (the generation is important). I believe some folks here also use Twinstar lights.

That is very helpful. Thanks Kris!

Ecotech Marine is the company name. The "FW" indicates freshwater for this fixture.

I really like Marineland double brights for a tank that height. Current Satellite Plus/Plus Pro would work, too.
