Need suggestion for Canister filter & in-line diffuser

Post by Larry Grenier »

I am totally tired of struggling with my 96 gallon (not a typo, it's custom 42"/24"/22") running thru the floor to a sump in the basement. I can't keep CO2 at even low levels. My plan is to only use the sump pump when refilling from the basement where my water purifier is. I'd like a decent not-2-expensive canister that I can easily add an in-line diffuser to. The fluvals with their ribbed tubing look difficult. Suggestions?

I have the Fluval 405 on my 90 and I use an inline diffuser. It seems to work fine, i.e. no issue with the tubing. I used the ribbed tubing for part of the setup and then some standard tubing for the rest. Also have an inline heater as well. The Fluval valve crapped out on my after what I consider a short period but the filter itself seems to work well.
