Since I need to shame myself into his hobby again, I should confess a few planted tank sins... I recently spent 10 days in Singapore and 3 days in Japan and didn't make time to go to a planted tank shop (Japan is a little tricky without a host). However, it's looking like I'll be making it out to Singpore on a regular basis, so if anyone still has contacts out there, please let me know.
