Yeah, stuff started to perk up already, it is scaring me to be honest. Low grow hygro is showing buds, a few anubias leaves, and either I'm on drugs or the angustifolia is growing almost daily.
I dosed Excel the first day, then set up the CO2 in a ceramic disk for the last few days. Had a powerhead blowing right over it to spread it out through the tank.
Stand pipe is sucking air
Explain the green water please.
I assume, the bloom is from something in the mineralized soil that was used.

Extremely nutrient rich water + lots of light = free floating (single cell?)algae, that turns the water green.
As the soil substrate "settles in", it is releasing tons of nutrients and there is zippy bacteria colony to be able to deal with it yet. It is common of the soil substrate method, I am resigned to watching it happen, hehe.

..and its not nessasarily a bad thing. Having green water will help prevent other
forms of algae from showing up/taking over - and GW is easy to get rid of with
a UV. In my 90P - with ADA Amazonia - the first few weeks I had GW so thick
that I could watch the water circulation patterns in it. I let it be for 2-3 weeks
and couldnt stand it any longer and stuck a UV on there for 10 days
to get crystal clear water. Once that was gone, I had a small hair algae outbreak. Enter Seachem Excel. A week later, no algae whatsoever.
