I'm running a 2215 on a 30 long, and find it barely adequate, myself - with nothing inline.
I run an XP1 on a 26 bowfront, and am happy with it - run an XP1 on a 33 fbh, and find it isn't enough, just dealing with it for now.
Run an XP2 on a 55g, and it isn't enough, had to add a powerhead for flow.
Bought an XP3 on that sale (which is good till Nov. 3rd) and plan to use the XP2 on this 33g cube, XP3 on the 55 for as long as it runs (shutting it down in February, and selling it off)... then figure out stuff then once I have the basement coming online. Will probably end up with 1 XP1 and 1 XP2 running on a tank 46-50g, XP3 on the 33g cube - and the 2215 in the 26g bowfront. Leaves me one XP1 left over, hmm.....

Thanks, Dave.
I'm running a 2213 and an old Whisper on my 30 now, though more for convenience in changing carbon than for flow, but I have always wondered whether the 2213 was strong enough alone. The tank seemed to have plenty of water movement before I joined GWAPA and choked it with plants.
People seem very pleased with Rena's stuff. I've had the Eheim forever, so it's a tough decision.
