Any good advice for raising these babies? Totally wasnt expecting this one and woke up this morning to a few hundred babies at the top of the tank

Moved quite a few of the babies over to a 10 gallon tank.....the parents are keeping all the other fish in the tank below the half height point in the main tank.....pretty cool to watch

Many years ago I used green water as first food for most Gouramis. But there is not much lead time to get that going. If you have lots of Java Moss around, it is pretty good infusoria habitat/nursery, you could add that to the fry tank.

Squeeze a songe filter into a jar, let it settle and decant the rotifer cloud.

Thanks guys....I had gone ahead and used the Java Moss Robert gave me at the meeting.....who knows might end up with Rainbows and Gourami babies together .....so far the babies seem to be going strong both in the 10 gallon tank and in the bigger tank.....I floated some plants in the bigger tank to allow them a hideout.

Had two more batches of babies hatch out over the weekend. Its like a fine white cloud across the top three inches of the tank. Going to have to move all the other fish out to keep them alive since the adult gouramis have been seriously aggressive.

I will work on getting some my next night off.....probably wont be until Sunday with the bar schedule and a funeral I have to go to.

I posted some photos of the baby gouramis. They are in my gallery album. Rob Petersons Beginning for those who dont know me yet.
I will work on better quality when I get the tank clean and they grow a little but they are all over the tank probably several hundred in all.
