1) Tried to upload tank photos but couldn't. But: anyone know if a clear plastic breeding trap measuring 7' x 3' x 3' tall in the breeding female area is big enough for a platy to feel comfortable to drop fry? I heard if they don't feel secure, they can withhold the fry.
My platy breeding tank is a 10 with a plain-jane Marineland 14w, 20" fluorescent. Think that's enough light (at ten hours) for easy plants. My Cabomba has turned a bit brown except for bright green on top, but the leaves are still intact. I think it's just a red/brown Cabomba that's gottten its happy color in it's new 10 gal, but not sure.
Thanks
hopefully i'll manage photos eventually.
PS If anyone not far from Columbia Heights DC, has excess plants, please let me know. jim234c at gmail
