Freshwater Shrimp

Post by John K »

Would anyone be interested in putting an order together from Frank's Aquarium?

Lots of cool shrimp on stock.

I went up to the "That Fish Place" Tent Sale this weekend and bought a few but they didn't make it.

If anyone would be interested, let me know.

Did they bag your shrimp with some plant pieces for them to hang on to? If not, that was pry the reason they did not do well.

I have had some spotty luck with livestock from TPP. :( I usually factor that in when purchasing the livestock so as long as the price is low enough I usually take the risk. :| I try to follow the old rule that if something is dead in the tank do not buy anything.

I have had shrimp bagged with plants or ribbon and believe that is the best way to ship them because they always have something to hang onto. However, I was amazed when we did the mondo order of Amano shrimp with Ghazanfar the wholesaler just shipped them in bags with no plants or ribbons and them seemed to be doing well. I only lost 3 out of 25 shrimp from that experiment. :)

As far as ordering from Franks I would be interested in ordering. The ones that caught my eye were the blue midget and rainbow shrimp. Could even be talked into some of the available red shrimp.

If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!

I'd like several Amanos (Caridina japonica).

Count me in. I'd like at least a dozen Amano's and some Rainbow's too. When would you be placing the order and where would they need to be picked up?

Cheers,
