One word = Divider Sorry to hear it. I know I have learned that lesson the hard way with apisto's myself. Go make yourself a stiff drink and sit in front of the 180 and contemplate the meaning of life.....or at least the bottom of the glass.

Anyone know a bartender than can recommend a good drink for such an occasion?
I've had a similar thing lately with my Pelvcachromis pulcher 'Super Reds'. Initially, the pair (which bred in Scales tanks) was all buddy buddy, but never spawned. Now, I only ever see the female when the male is chasing her back into the stem plants. The male roams the tank freely, seemingly has even gained the respect of the Nannochromis nudiceps that used to duel with him. I wonder if anyone has any tricks for reconciling the pulcher pair? I've been trying to feed them blackworms to get them more in the mood. Thoughts?
Keep the pair in seperate tanks/divided so that they can see each other but
cannot get to each other. Feed them both high protein diets for a week to 10
days and then add the MALE to the females tank and watch carefully.
Ditto that....worked like a charm with my Melanochromis Auratus ....moved the male out but kept him in sight and waited about three weeks and then dropped him in and had to bring him back out after just two nights because they had beaten each other up. She is holding and has been regularly dropping about 25 fry after about three weeks of holding.

Kris,
Do they have a little flower pot cave? When I gave them a pot at Scales they claimed it immediately. It became home base and seemed to strengthen the bond between them.
Kris,
Add another female krib to the tank(a regular one will do) this will strengthen the bond between your pair. They might end up killing her but it's still cheaper, the regular ones only cost about $3 verses $10/15 for a super red
Kevin, if I do that, and the regular Krib happens to pair with the Super Red, will the offspring be less colorful? Or, am I likely to get a mixture of color anyways, even with two Super Reds?
