Pond tank.

Post by aravind90chan »

I am planning to use a shallow frag tank to create a pond tank setup with emersed and submerged plants.
It will be low tech (no CO2, LED flood light 6500K) with ADA/Tropica soil.
Currently, am planning to have hornwort, pennywort, umbrella palm, buce, ludwigia.
Any suggestions on plants that will go well in this set up?

Would you like a frog for it? :-P

Spiranthes odorata and "dwarf onion" plants, which I think are actually rain lilies.

haha. It will not have a lid and so no on the frog :) .
Great. Are there good stores in the DC area for aquarium plants? I know congressional aquarium has a good collection.

GWAPA is the best course of plants, but you may check out House of Tropicals.

You could put Nymphoides sp Taiwan if...you want the mini lily pad look

We have a mostly plant auction every month at the meeting. But if you are looking for something specific, you can always post it. The members have a ton of different types of plants.
