I'm thinking about devoting an entire aquascape to
just crypts. There so many different kinds - so
many textures/colors and leaf shapes.
What species should I use?
Some that come to mind...
C. balansae
C. retrospiralis
C. albida
C. blassi
C. lutea
C. parva
C. wendtii
C. moehlmanii
..what else? I need something with different leaf textures, colors and sizes.
All crypt tank?

I avoid C. ciliata, they get too big. C. moehlmanii
and pontederiifolia make a nice pseudo-sword. I'm still begging around for C. keei and hudoroi, no luck there.
Are you sure you can handle that many crypts Ghazanfar? They do tend to try to over take the tank if you treat them right.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.
If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!
I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up!

Once established, ciiata should be easy. IMLimitedE*, it is easier to pull the innumerable offsets than most crypts - they are nice and crunchy/brittle, so snap away easily. It can get very large. Other than the larger central plants, it is not the best trade-in, it is too available and inexpensive.
Things that have at some point been labeled wendtii I take as purely pragmatic - if it has whatever color in tank A and it works, great. If not, move it and try another batch. What is showed in tank B earlier may or may not apply.
*remember, I'm not high tech.
