How best to "hold" plants until planting

Post by sns26 »

Hi all,

With this month's meeting coming up I had been hoping to pick up a bunch of plants at our auction. The trouble is that my current project tank (see the DIY section) is not yet ready for prime time. Anyone have advice on how best to store some purchased plants for a week or two until they can be planted for real? I do have another tank up and running, but it has some BBA problems that I'd rather not transfer to the new tank.

Sam,

You could put them into an emersed setup, as described during last month's meeting:

At the meeting, we sold starter packages for five bucks that included a tray, dome, some pots, and some substrate. I bought extras that I probably won't need; I could bring one for you if you'd like. Let me know before tomorrow morning.

Why do I always miss the meetings that have the info I need :/ I need to get my hands on those coco liners for the mesh pots that everyone recommends using for the emersed set up :(
Best, Corey

Thanks - I'd be happy to take one or two of those kits off your hands.
